The Richmond Quest - in Its Final Iteration, Quest V
What do author Toni Morrison, Russian painting, sports marketing, comedian Lily Tomlin, corporate governance, investigative journalist and author Carl Bernstein, and Latin American cinema have in common?
What made it possible for students to conduct research at the Prague NATO Summit, to collect data on advertising at the Moscow State Library, to research Bombay and its inhabitants, and to document the Holocaust in the Ukraine?
The answer is...THE RICHMOND QUEST.
Every two years for the past decade, University of Richmond students, faculty, and staff have focused their collective attention on a broad and pervasive question that confronts the academic world and contemporary society. Over and above seeking an answer to its question, the purpose of each Richmond Quest was to explore and create unique synergies across our disciplines of arts and sciences, law, business and leadership studies.
Since its inception, the Richmond Quest has inspired and supported the creation of over 80 new and revised courses, more than 150 special events, and over 100 independent student research projects.
The Quest no longer accepts new applications.
